After the amazing response to his Warbirds film, Dad and I put together Flying Passion, a great calendar for commemorating the skill and passion of the pilots of the Texas Flying Legends. Photographed by Moose, and layout by me, we added in a lot of great extra history to help bring it all together.

With the help of Printing Center USA, I went to work laying out the calendar. They provided an excellent InDesign template which I modified to get the effect I wanted. Of course we wanted to keep the design simple, and I always want aviation designs to mimic the metal and shine of aircraft. This was a bit challenging considering the overall darker look of the calendar, but worked in favor of the images by helping to accentuate the color of the images. Considering we want people to write on the calendar, it worked by making the actual grid light.
